Mrs. Albietz

Director

My name is Jacquelyn Albietz and I am honored to be named as the Executive Director of St. Peter’s Nursery School. I have been an educator for the past 23 years and received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and my Masters Degree in Instructional Design from Seton Hall University.

  • More About Mrs. Albietz

I was a teacher at St. Joseph’s/Blessed Pope John XXIII in West Orange, where I taught various subjects for grades kindergarten-fifth. I have also served as a math and science teacher in Hoboken Charter School. I have had the pleasure of being a mentor to my fellow colleagues and providing them with feedback that would be then submitted to the State of New Jersey. Lastly, I have had the unique experience working for the City University of New York, where I worked as a lesson-study advisor for a piloted math program.

I am a proud mother of a little boy and little girl, who are alums of St. Peter’s. Being a parent of a recent graduate of St. Peter’s Nursery School, I know how important it is to families to feel that their children are in the right situation to learn, develop and grow. There is a tremendous support system, enthusiastic staff, and dedicated parents who all give their time to the school. My experience at St. Peter’s has been nothing but priceless. From the first moment I came to visit St. Peter’s for an open house, I knew this was a school where I could feel at home. There was a sense of warmth and family that I would not find anywhere else. I look forward to continuing this tradition.

Mrs. Buccino

  • More About Mrs. Buccino

My name is Bethany Buccino and I started teaching at St. Peter's in 2016. Like many other teachers here, I was first introduced to St. Peters as a parent. My children had such a positive preschool experience here because of the nurturing and supportive environment. I was always impressed with how much they learned through play and hands-on activities. Before starting my family, I taught kindergarten and first grade in a public school. I received my bachelor's degree and my master's degree in Elementary Education. I've always loved working with children and I am thrilled to be a part of the St Peter's family!

Mrs. Genovese

  • More About Mrs. Genovese

I graduated from Kean University with a BA in Fine Arts Education, but realized during my first job that I was not interested in teaching older children. I began substitute teaching the preschool level and found that I loved being involved with the children’s first learning experiences in a school setting. Their curiosity and willingness to try new things excited me. I took some time off when my two children were young, however I remained involved with young children as a Girl Scout leader and religion club teacher, while substitute teaching at my children’s preschool. I was happy to come to St. Peter’s when an opportunity became available, as I firmly believe in their philosophy of learning through play. My experience with children has convinced me that this is the best way for young children to learn. Their excitement for learning gives me an unparalleled reward. The welcome and support I have received from St. Peter’s has made this transition a wonderful experience.

Before starting my family, (Amanda 18 and Ryan 16) I taught preschool for 6 years. I received

my Bachelor’s degree in English from Caldwell University and later my K-8 and P-3 teaching

certificates. I cannot wait to meet your children and I am so happy to be here!

Mrs. Egan

  • More About Mrs. Egan

My name is Linda Egan. I have been teaching at St. Peter’s Nursery School since January 2001. My initial contact with the school began in 1994 as a parent. I truly enjoyed my experience and my children received an early childhood education that was filled with the love of learning. My positive experiences as a parent led to an appointment as a Board of Trustee member for two years. At the conclusion of this time, I found myself very tearful as I drove away from this wonderful school. Sure enough, six months later my telephone rang and a teaching position was available at the school. I have had the pleasure and experience of teaching all age categories at our school. My greatest enjoyment from teaching young children is watching their excitement for learning. My classroom environment is the only place where I have an audience that thinks my singing is worthy of a clap and a shout of “Bravo!” I love it!

Teaching at St. Peter’s since 2001
